Project Synapse is an official youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit working towards equal educational opportunities for all through our local, national, and international initiatives. Through fundraisers, donations, and nationwide service projects, we aim to provide enrichment resources and classes to underprivileged neurodivergent children. From our executive team to our national team of volunteers, we aim to help as many children as possible.

Our Story

Project Synapse was founded as a neuroscience club in 2021 by thirteen-year-old Anisha Pandey. Wanting to bring Brain Bee prep materials to her suburban town of Mountain House, CA, she formed a small group of students that would discuss problems in neuroscience, brain anatomy, and more.

However, Anisha noticed that one of her family friends with autism was struggling to find opportunities for a specialized education while at home. Seeing the education disparities and depression rates spike over the pandemic, Project Synapse slowly shifted its goals towards providing for the neurodivergent population.

After three years of conducting local projects and initiatives, Project Synapse received its official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in late 2023, allowing for the organization to expand its goal further with federal tex-exempt status.

Today, Project Synapse's founder, executive team and volunteers continue to dedicate their efforts towards providing inclusive education and volunteering services for kids with neurodivergent disorders.
